Kendriya Vidyalaya Syllabus 2024: All Kendriya Vidyalayas are administered by KVS-Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, an autonomous body under Ministry of Education, Government of India and recognized by CBSE- Central Board of Secondary Education. Admission in Kendriya Vidyalayas is granted in different classes in various methods. In class 9th, admission is granted by Entrance Examination every year which is conducted by concern Kendriya Vidyalaya as per KVS Admission Guideline.
KVS Admission Guideline is released by Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan every year. All Rule, Regulation and direction are mentioned in KVS Admission Guideline.
Method of Kendriya Vidyalaya Admission 2024-25 in IX Class
Kendriya Vidyalaya conducts an Admission Test for admission to class IX and a merit list is prepared for each category of priority separately based on marks obtained in this entrance examination. Admission shall be granted in the sequence of priority categories, in the order of merit.

Kendriya Vidyalaya Admission Test 2024 -25 Exam Pattern
For admission to Class IX, Kendriya Vidyalaya Admission test shall be conducted in the subjects: Hindi, English, Maths, Social Science, and Science. In this Entrance Examination, only one paper will be done of 3 hours duration. Kendriya Vidyalaya Admission test for class IX will be 100 marks comprising Hindi, English, Maths, Social Science, and Science each of 20 marks. No negative marks are applicable in this admission test. Exam Pattern are given below in table:

Kendriya Vidyalaya Admission Test 2024-25~ Qualifying Marks
Students must secure 33% marks in aggregate to qualify for this admission test. Students belonging to SC/ST/Divyang category (PH) will be eligible for admission on securing 25% in aggregate.
Kendriya Vidyalaya Admission Test Syllabus 2024
Candidates who are keen on taking up admission in IX class have to appear for the written test. The Class 8 level questions will be asked in the 9th entrance exam. These questions will be based on the NCERT syllabus of class 8th.

KVS Admission test shall not be conducted for admission to Class II to VIII. For KVS Admission in 2 to 8 class, the admission may be granted based on Priority Category system (1 to 5 or 6 as the case may be).
If applications are more than the number of vacant seats, a lottery system will be followed in each category including single girl child quota (Class VI Onwards). For admission in class 2nd to 8th, applications are submitted in concern Kendriya Vidyalaya offline only. Format of Application Form will be available on the official website concerning Kendriya Vidyalaya and Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan. All students can submit their application form by hand in office of Principal of Kendriya Vidyalaya.
