Eligible Age for Admission: For admission in class I, the minimum age of the child should be 6 years and the maximum age should be 8 years as on 31st March in the academic year in which admission is sought. Method of Admission in Class- I

  • Out of the available seats of fresh admission in all Kendriya Vidyalaya 25% shall be reserved for Right To Education (RTE).
  • 6 seats out of 40 means 15% seats shall be reserved belonging to SC category,
  • 7.5% seats {3 seats out of 40} shall be reserved for ST candidates
  • 27% seats {11 seats} shall be reserved for “OBC- Non Creamy Layer” (OBC-NCL) candidates.

The reservation norms shall be applicable as per below:-

  1. RTE 25% : 10 seats
  2. SC 15% : 06 seats
  3. ST 7.5% : 03 seats
  4. OBC 27% : 11 seats

3% seats for DA Candidates would be reserved horizontally.

As per Kendriya Vidyalaya Admission 2023-24 Guideline, given below essential documents are mandatory for the KVS Admission 2023-24. Original copies of following documents are submitted/ Presented by the parents/ guardian at time of admission in the concern Kendriya Vidyalaya.

Certificate of proof of age: For Kendriya Vidyalaya Admission 2023-24 to Std 1, certificate of proof of age in the form of a birth certificate issued by the authority competent to register births. A scan/picture of this certificate must be uploaded on the online admission portal.

  • For grandchildren of PSU (project sector)/ IHL employees
  • For grandchildren of KVS employees

Cast Certificate: For children applying under SC/ST/OBC (NCL)/EWS/BPL category (as applicable), issued by the competent authority in concerned State Government / Union Government.
