KVS Admission Process: These children got free education in Kendriya Vidyalayas
Indian Government has decided to provide free-of-cost education in Kendriya Vidyalayas across the country to those children who have been orphaned in the COVID-19 pandemic. Children who have lost their parents {Mother and Father Both} in the COVID-19 epidemic will be admitted to Kendriya Vidyalayas under the PM Cares for Children scheme. KVS will admit all those students under the PM Cares for Children scheme who have lost their parents due to Corona virus COVID-19 epidemic during any class from 1 to 12.
All Information related to this has been sent to all Kendriya Vidyalaya across India. The Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan has started the KVS admission process 2024 on 1st April 2024. All related Instructions have been given to the regional officers of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan by the Deputy Commissioner of KVS regarding the PM Cares for Children Admission Scheme.

KVS Admission 2024-25 Reservation Policy: Know What are the quotas in Kendriya Vidyalaya
Kendriya Vidyalaya Admission 2024-25 ~ Eligibility
Eligible Age for Admission: For admission in class I, the minimum age of the child should be 6 years and the maximum age should be less than 8 years as on 1st April in the academic year in which admission is sought. (Child born on 1st April should also be considered.) The maximum age limit can be relaxed by two years in case of Differently abled children by the Principal.
All Indian Citizen can apply online application form for KVS Admission 2024-25 classes 1st.
Candidates with Foreign Citizenship are also eligible to take admission in Kendriya Vidyalaya 2024-25 in Std. 1st, if they are residing in India.

Method of Admission in Class- I
- Out of the available seats of fresh admission in all Kendriya Vidyalaya 25% shall be reserved for Right To Education (RTE).
- 6 seats out of 40 means 15% seats shall be reserved belonging to SC category,
- 7.5% seats {3 seats out of 40} shall be reserved for ST candidates
- 27% seats {11 seats} shall be reserved for “OBC- Non Creamy Layer” (OBC-NCL) candidates.
The reservation norms shall be applicable as per below:-
- RTE 25% : 10 seats
- SC 15% : 06 seats
- ST 7.5% : 03 seats
- OBC 27% : 11 seats
3% seats for DA Candidates would be reserved horizontally.

Required Documents
As per Kendriya Vidyalaya Admission 2024-25 Guideline, given below essential documents are mandatory for the KVS Admission 2024-25. Original copies of the following documents are submitted/ Presented by the parents/ guardian at the time of admission in the concern Kendriya Vidyalaya.
Certificate of proof of age: For Kendriya Vidyalaya Admission 2024-25 to Std 1, a certificate of proof of age in the form of a birth certificate issued by the authority competent to register births. A scan/picture of this certificate must be uploaded to the online admission portal.
KVS Admission 2024-25: Registration for Class 1 Start on 1st April 2024
Proof of relationship:
- For grandchildren of PSU (project sector)/ IHL employees
- For grandchildren of KVS employees
Cast Certificate: For children applying under SC/ST/OBC (NCL)/EWS/BPL category (as applicable), issued by the competent authority in the concerned State Government / Union Government.
PH Certificate: For children applying under the “Differently Abled” category, issued by a civil surgeon/rehabilitation center or any other competent authority defined by the Government of India.
Service Certificate: For children applying under a service category
Retirement Certificate: A certificate of retirement for retired uniformed Defence employees.
Residence Certificate: Proof of residence of the child
An Affidavit: For children applying under the Single Girl Child category, an affidavit needs to be submitted.

1. Children and dependent grandchildren of Hon’ble Members of Parliament {MP}.
2. Children and grandchildren of serving and retired KVS employees.
3. Children of those Central Government employees who died during service.
4. Children of recipients of the National Award for Teachers.
5. Single girl children.
6. Children orphaned due to Covid-19 ·will be considered for admission over and above the class strength under PM CARES for Children Scheme
