Sainik School Admission E-counselling 2023: Important Instructions
- E-Counselling registration for candidates will commence on 06 mar 2023 at 1600 hrs.
- AISSEE 2023 qualified candidates will only be able to sign in after registration.
- Schedule for registration uploaded. Registration and choice filling will be conducted from 06 mar to 13 mar 2023.
- Confidentiality of Password is solely the responsibility of the candidate and all care must be taken to protect the password.
- Candidates can take a printout of the final locked choices for their reference.
- For security reasons, after finishing your work, kindly click the Sign Out button and close all the windows related to your session.
- Candidates are advised to keep changing the Password at frequent intervals.
- Never share your password and do not respond to any mail which asks you for your Sign in-ID/Password. SSS does not request for such information by email.

About to New Sainik Schools (NSS) : Ministry of Defence (MoD) has approved setting up of 18 new Sainik Schools, in partnership with NGOs/private schools/State Governments. All 18 New Sainik Schools has started from Academic session 2022-23. These schools will be set up in the initial round of the Government’s initiative of setting up of 100 new Sainik schools across the country in partnership mode. They will be distinct from the existing Sainik Schools. These type of Sainik Schools are called New Sainik Schools (NSS).
Sainik School Admission 2023-24~List of New Sainik Schools {Approved}
Ministry of Defence (MoD) has released the list of 18 New Sainik Schools on its official website @ mod.gov.in. 18 new Sainik Schools is also available on sainikschool.ncog.gov.in. All aspirants can check State/UT-wise list of 18 approved new Sainik Schools in given below table.
In this 18 Approved New Sainik schools (NSS), Admission will be done on the basis of AISSEE 2023-24 {All India Sainik schools Entrance examination 2023-24}. AISSEE 2023-24 was conducted by NTA on 8th January 2023 and the the AISSEE Result 2023 & NTA Scorecard of appeared candidates have released on 24th February 2023.
New Sainik Schools (NSS) Admission Process 2023-24
There are two channels of admission to approved NSS (18 Approved New Sainik Schools) which is given below:
Channels-Ist- 40% route: Minimum 40% of the seats under the Sainik School stream in approved New Sainik Schools(NSSs) will be filled on the basis of the rank secured in the AISSEE 2023 (All India Merit List of AISSEE 2023). Candidates note that Domicile/Category are not considered for this Merit List. Candidates can opt for any NSS in India, at the time of counselling.
Channels-2nd-60% route: Upto 60% of the seats in NSSs will be filled by those who are currently studying in any of the approved New Sainik Schools (NSSs). List of NSSs are given below in table. you can check. They will be filled on the basis of rank secured in School wise Merit List. Domicile / Category are not considered for this Merit List.
18 New Sainik Schools Admission 2023-24~ Eligibility
Admission are open in Approved New Sainik School only for class 6th for Boys and Girls both.
Age Criteria for All Candidates: Between 10-12 years of age, as on 31.03.2023 Should be born between 01.04.2011 and 31.03.2013 (Both days inclusive).
Qualification for 60% Route: Candidates should be currently studying in the NSS, where they are seeking admission. Passed/appearing in Class V, as on 31.03.2023.
Approved New Sainik schools Admission 2023 ~ Passing Marks (Qualifying Requirements)
A candidate is eligible for admission to the approved New Sainik Schools, if he/ she secures a minimum of 25% marks in each subject of the exam and 40% marks in aggregate of all the subjects of AISSEE 2023. This criteria is applicable to all candidates who wish to seek admission to approved New Sainik Schools including SC/ST candidates. Criteria of domicile/category are not applicable for admission to approved New Sainik Schools.
Merit List for 40% Route
Merit list will be prepared based on the marks secured in AISSEE 2023. It will be prepared on All India basis. Approved New Sainik Schools Admission will be based on the position in the All India Merit List.
Merit List for 60% Route
Merit list will be prepared based on the marks secured in AISSEE 2023. It will be prepared on school basis. Admission will be based on the position in the School wise Merit List.
Note: The preparing Merit List for approved New Sainik Schools, Domicile/Category will not be considered.
Approved New Sainik School Admission 2023-24: E-counselling Date, Rules Timeline
E-counselling for Sainik School admission will be started in March 2023 (Expected). All qualified students in AISSEE -2023, can apply for e-counselling through official website of E-counselling portal. E-Counselling process for approved NSSs will be held after the admission to SS is over. Details time-table will be given very soon.
Instructions for Registration to Sainik Schools Admission e-counselling 2023
- Sainik Schools Admission Process has been made online for the Academic Year 2023-24 through the online portal.
- All qualified candidates in AISSEE 2023 are required to register on the All India Sainik School Admission e-Counselling (AISSAC) 2023 portal for participation in e-counselling.
- As per official notice the registration process for AISSAC 2023 counselling Round 1st will commence from 06 Mar 2023 to 13 March 2023.
- Application Number of AISSEE 2023 will be required to candidates for registration on AISSAC 2023 portal. Therefore, those candidates has qualified AISSEE 2023 should be ready reference documents before start of AISSAC 2023.
- OTP (One Time Password) will be sent to the mobile number and email ID both registered during AISSEE 2023 registration on the NTA portal.
- After entering OTP, candidates have to set their password. Thereafter, candidates need to sign in with their Application Number as their User ID and enter the password set by them. Candidates are advised not to share their password .
- Upon successful sign-in, the candidate’s details will automatically be fetched from the database of AISSEE 2023 registration.
- Candidates will be asked to reconfirm the details. Only after confirmation of details, the candidate’s registration will be considered successful.
