KVS Admission 2022-23 Guideline: KVS Admission Guideline for academic session 2022-23 are released on official site of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan i.e. kvsangathan.nic.in. KVS Admission guidelines 2022-23 are issued to regulate admissions in the Kendriya Vidyalayas with effect from the academic session 2022-23 & onwards. These guidelines are not applicable to Kendriya Vidyalayas located abroad and Dr. Rajendra Prasad Kendriya Vidyalaya, President Estate, New Delhi.
All candidates who want to admission class 1st to class 12th in Kendriya Vidyalays, can download admission Guideline and read carefully. After that parents /applicants apply online application for class 1 and offline for class 2 and above classes.
KVS Admission 2022-23 | Registration Date
Instruction to Fill KVS Online Application Form | How to Apply for KVS Admission 2022-23
As per KVS Admission Guideline 2022-23, admission for class 1, online registration process will be start from 28th February and will close on 21 March 2022. For Class 2 and above, offline registration will be done from 8th April 2022 (Friday) to 16 April 2022 (Saturday) up to 04:00 PM if vacancies exist.
KVS Admission 2022-23 | Age Criteria
KVS Admission 2022-23: Registration for Class 1 Start from 28th February 2022
Minimum age for admission in class-I will be 6 years as per NEP 2020. Earlier the minimum age limit was 5 years. As per KVS Admission Guideline 2022-23, A Child must be 6 years old as on 31st March in the academic year in which admission is sought for Class I. We are providing here age criteria from class 2 and above class respectively.
- For class 2: Minimum 6 years and Maximum 8 Years
- For class 3: Minimum 7 years and Maximum 9 Years
- For class 4: Minimum 8 years and Maximum 10 Years
- For class 5: Minimum 9 years and Maximum 11 Years
- For class 6: Minimum 10 years and Maximum 12 Years
- For class 7: Minimum 11 years and Maximum 13 Years
- For class 8: Minimum 12 years and Maximum 14 Years
- For class 9: Minimum 13 years and Maximum 15 Years
- For class 10: Minimum 14 years and Maximum 16 Years
- For Class 11and 12: There is no age restriction for admission to Class XI and XII

Most Important information: As per mandate of NEP 2020 entry age for Class I has been revised to 6+ years with It effect from Academic Session 2022-23.

For 2nd Class Admission: Should be pass class 1st
For 3rd Class Admission: Should be pass class 2nd
For Class IV Admission: Should be pass class 3rd
For V Class Admission: Should be pass class 4th
For VI Class Admission: Should be pass class vth
For VII Class Admission: Should be pass class VIth
For VIII Class Admission: Should be pass class VIIth
For IX Class Admission: Should be pass class VIIIth from recognized School and take a place in the merit list of Admission Test organised by concern Kendriya Vidyalaya.
For X Class Admission: Should be pass class IXth
For XI Class Admission: Should be pass class X in concern stream with required marks / grade.
For XII Class Admission: Should be pass class XI in concern stream with required marks / grade.
KVS Admission 2022-23 | Special Provisions
Following categories of children would be admitted over and above the class strength.
- The children and dependent grandchildren of Hon’ble Members of Parliament {MP}.
- Children and grandchildren (children of son or I and daughter) of serving and retired KVS employees.
- Children of Central Government employees who die in harness.
- Child/Children {Boy -Girls}of recipients of Paramveer Chakra, Ashok Chakra, Mahavir Chakra, Veer Chakra, Kirti Chakra & Shourya Chakra, Vayu Sena Medal, Sena Medal, Nav Sena Medal.
- Children who are recipients of National Bravery Award / Balshree Award
- Children of recipients of President’s Police medal / Police medal.
- Single girl children.
- Children of recipients of National Award for teachers.
- Children who have secured I, II & III position in SGFI/CBSE/National/State level games.
- Children who has received Rashtrapati Puraskar in Scouts & Guides.
- Special talented children of fine arts, who have been recognized at the National or State level.
- Children orphaned due to Covid-19 ·will be considered for admission over and above the class strength under PM CARES for Children Scheme.
Priority for KVS Admission 2022-23
Kendriya Vidyalayas Under Civil/Defence Sector
- As per KVS Guideline, the first priority will be given to children of central government employees and Ex-Servicemen in Kendirya Vidyalaya Admission 2022-23..
- The second priority for KVS Admission 2022-23 is for Children of transferable and non-transferable employees of Autonomous Bodies / Public Sector Undertaking/Institute of Higher Learning of Central Govt.
- The third priority for KV Admission 2022-23 is for children of State government employees.
- Fourth priority to be given to children of State Govt Autonomous Bodies / Public Sector Undertaking/Institute of Higher Learning employees.
- The fifth priority is for Children from any other category including the children of Foreign Nationals who are located in India.
