KVS Hindi Translator Exam Pattern
For the post of Hindi Translator the written test is of 180 marks (180 objective types multiple choice questions carrying 01 mark for each question). The duration of written test will be 180 minutes. The question papers are divided in three parts which is given below.

- Time Duration for Written Exam: 3 Hours without any time limit for each part individually.

KVS Hindi Translator Interview
- The interview for Hindi Translator is of 90 marks.
- Merit list of the candidates for the post of Hindi translator will be prepared on the basis of marks obtained by the candidates in the computer based test and interview.
- The weightage of written test and interview will be in the ratio of 80:20 taken together.

- General Hindi: पठन कौशल, शब्द सामर्थ्य, व्याकरण और प्रयुक्ति
Part-II: General Awareness & Computer Literacy
- General Knowledge: Indian History, Indian Polity & Constitution, Indian Geography, Indian Economy, Indian Geography, Scientific Research, awards, Sports, Current India & World.
- Logical Reasoning: Analogies-Semantic Analogy, Symbolic/Number Analogy, Figural Analogy, word building, relationship concepts, Similarities and difference, Arithmetic number series-Semantic Series, Number Series, Coding and decoding- Small & Capital letters/numbers coding, decoding and classification.
- Computer Literacy : Computer Organization including RAM, ROM, File System, Input Devices, Characteristics of Computers, Computer Software-Relationship between Hardware and Software, Information Technology and Society-Indian IT Act, Operating System, Digital Signatures. MS-Office (exposure of Word, Excel/spread sheet, Power point). Application of information technology in Government for E-Governance, mobile/Smartphone’s, information Kiosks.
- Quantitative Aptitude: Number System, Averages, Time and Distance, Time and Work, Percentages, Ratio and Proportions, Simple and Compound Interest, Profit and loss.
