Sainik School Admission Reservation, AISSEE 2023-24 Seat Reservation: Sainik Schools are residential schools run by the Sainik Schools Society under the Ministry of Defence, India. The admission process to these schools involves an entrance exam called is AISSEE and Medical Test.
Regarding reservation, Sainik Schools follow the reservation policy as per the Government of India norms. Generally, the reservation policy provides for the following categories:
- Scheduled Castes (SC) : 15% of the total seats
- Scheduled Tribes (ST): 7.5% of the total seats
- Other Backward Classes (OBC) : 27% of the total seats
- For Other States/UT: 33% of all seats
- For Girls: 10% of total seats

Reservation of seats in Sainik Schools
Reservation of seats can be explained with the following example. Suppose there are 100 seats, and then know for whom how many seats will be allotted in this.
- Total seats is 100
- Home State/UT 67%: 67
- Other States/UT 33%: 33
Further distribution of seats within Home State/UT (List-A) and Other States/UT (List-B) may be as under:-

Therefore, total allocation of seats will be as under:-

- General: 38 (List A-25+List B-13)
- Total = 100
At least one seat per category will be allotted in girls’ admission. Category-wise percentage of reservation will be maintained by the combined strength of boys and girls to get her.
