Kendriya Vidyalaya Trained Graduate Teacher Salary Structure
Ministry of Human Resource Development, Department of Education, Government of India, has released an official notice regarding KVS Teacher Revised Salary 2023 for TGT (Trained graduate Teacher) Posts. As per this Notice, the Selection Scale has been accepted for PRT Music, TGT (PHE- Physical and Health Education) and Librarian.
Candidates who have completed 12 yr of service on the senior pay scale PRT Music, TGT (PHE), Librarian and should be working on the same post till the date of acceptance of the selected pay scale.

Kendriya Vidyalaya Teaching Post Salary Structure

KVS TGT Salary Structure and Allowances
As per KVS Recruitment 2022 December the salary structure and allowances may vary depending on the location and experience of the individual.The salary structure of KVS TGT teachers is as follows:
Basic Pay Scale: Rs. 44,900 – Rs. 1,42,400 (Pay Level 7) in the Pay Matrix
Grade Pay: Rs. 4,600
KVS TGT Pay Scale & other Allowances
Apart from the basic pay and grade pay, the KVS TGT teachers are entitled to various allowances such as:
- Dearness Allowance (DA)
- House Rent Allowance (HRA)
- Transport Allowance (TA)
- Medical Allowance
- Children Education Allowance
- Leave Travel Concession (LTC)
- Pension and Gratuity Benefits
- Employee Provident Fund (EPF)
The DA, HRA, and TA allowances are calculated as a percentage of the basic pay and vary based on the city of posting. The medical allowance is fixed at Rs. 1,000 per month. The Children Education Allowance is Rs. 2,250 per month per child (maximum of 2 children). The LTC is given to the employees to travel to their hometown or any place in India once in two years.
As of my knowledge cutoff of KVS Recruitment Notice 2022, the take-home salary of a KVS Train Graduate Teacher would be around Rs. 50,000 to Rs. 60,000 per month, depending on the location and experience.
