Sainik Schoo Satara was founded on 23 June 1961. It is situated at Satara City on Pune-Banglore highway in the state of Maharashtra. Sainik School Satara was the first Sainik School amongst a chain of all Sainik schools established in the India. Currently total 33 Sainik Schools are running among country.

Sainik School Satara Admission Eligibility Criteria
For admission to class IX, the boys should be studying in class VIII in a recognized school. Those boys are passed 8th class in previous session are eligible for apply.

Note: Admissions are made strictly in order of merit only in classes VI and IX.
Sainik School Satara Admission Age Criteria
For admission in class VI, the candidates who are between the age of 10-12 years and 13-15 for admission in class IX on 31st March of the year in which admission is sought are eligible to take the Sainik School Entrance examination.
Sainik School Satara Admission Online Apply
Reservation
- 15% of the total seats are reserved for Scheduled Castes and 7.5% seats for Scheduled Tribes.
- Out of the remaining, 67% of the seats will be reserved for boys of Maharashtra State.
- Rest 33% left over of seats will be thrown open to boys from other States and UT.
- 25% of the seats are reserved for children of service personnel including ex-servicemen.

Boys have to register through Online Mode by official website before the last date and complete the registration by uploading Photograph, Signature, Birth certificate, Domicile certificate and Application fee payment.
Sainik School Satara Admission Exam Date
All India Sainik Schools Entrance Examination (AISSEE) is conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA) for all Schools throughout the Country on the 3rd Sunday of January 2024 for admission into Classes VI & IX. Interested candidates (Indian Domiciled) are to fill the Online Application as per guidelines issued by NTA through their Website. The Sainik School Satara entrance examination is held on Sunday of the each year for admission to class VI & IX. This time 3rd Sunday to be on 21 January 2024.
